Graham Brady met with two constituents at the Sale Lions Festival at Worthington Park in Sale this Sunday 17th June. He had no trouble recognising the pair because they came along in fancy dress.
Football fans John Brownhill and Robert Kettle are undertaking a charity tour over a two week period from 18th June to 30th June in which they will be visiting all 92 football league clubs, in their own time and at their own expense, to raise money for charity.
Their plan is to raise funds and awareness for two charities – CALM a mental Health charity and CRY (Cardiac risk in the young)
They contacted Mr Brady saying:
‘We were moved by the incidents involving Gary Speed and Fabrice Muamba over the season and are taking this tour at our own expense and in our own time to raise funds and awareness because football should bring people together. Please check out www.thecalmzone.net and www.c-r-y-org.uk to see the good work both charities do in tackling mental health issues and cardiac problems.’
Graham Brady said:
‘I am delighted to meet with John and Robert before they embark on their nationwide tour. They were moved by the events of last season to raise funds for two excellent charities and I wish them the best of luck in their efforts’
