Graham Brady MP has performed the opening ceremony at the first Altrincham Peace Festival. The event, held at Hale Barns on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August is the first event of its kind and features an array of different performers. Organiser Zainul Sachak said: ' This Two day festival has been triggered by the uncertain times we live in. The focus of this unique event is to promote peace and wellbeing through live entertainment and fitness/ wellbeing activities for all the family.'
Graham Brady said: ' There are so many bad things and worrying events around us in the world; it's important to focus on the good things in life and community events like this are a good example'.
He wished the organisers every success and praised the work of the Children and Family Centre in Altrincham, which will benefit from money raised at the festival.
The Peace Festival is at Hale Barns Meadow in Hasty Lane from 10 am until 7:30 pm on Saturday 2nd September and 10 am to 7pm on Sunday 3rd September
